Job Title: Head of Production and Operations

Job Function: Production – PracticeWeb

Location: Bristol

PracticeWeb are on the look out for a results-driven, customer focused Head of Production and Operations.  We are entering an exciting year with a new value proposition, refreshed product set, and ambitious growth plans.

Reporting directly into the Managing Director, the Head of Production and Operations will have full ownership of all things operational. This role stretches across the full client life cycle. You will be developing, implementing and tracking all operational activity. Therefore, you’ll need a strong grasp of current tools and strategies and must be able to lead the production, design, customer success and customer support teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.

Who are we? We are PracticeWeb and we work in partnership with ambitious accountancy firms all round the UK, to deliver insight, strategies, websites and digital marketing campaigns that produce excellent results.  This is a cross-function role, so check out some of the faces you will be working with.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Previous track record of leading a team in an operational/delivery role for an agency or a SaaS business
  • Strong focus on customer experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the customer life cycle within an agency.
  • Proven ability to optimise the customer experience.
  • Analytical, with the ability to derive insight from data.
  • A proven track record of delivering results.
  • Ability to analyse and optimise workflows.
  • An understanding of user experience, user interface design and web development.
  • Work under pressure across multiple projects.
  • Proven track record of Agile delivery methodology and/or Prince 2.
  • A passion for managing, coaching and mentoring individuals and teams.
  • Strong decision making, planning, prioritisation and problem solving skills.
  • Driven to succeed and deliver exceptional quality through your teams.
  • Ability to work across the business to resolve challenges and improve the way teams work.

About You

Job Title: Tech Editor – AccountingWeb

Job Function: Editorial

Location: Bristol

Sift is a market-leading digital B2B publishing and subscriptions business, based in the heart of Bristol. We believe that we can inspire action every day, through the creation of amazing content, experiences and insight for our audiences and clients.

We’re on the look out for a talented Tech Editor to join our AccountingWEB.co.uk team. This role will focus on owning the accounting software editorial strategy and output for the UK’s leading accounting website.

AccountingWEB.co.uk is the most timely, insightful and trusted source for UK accountants seeking concise answers on compliance, business and technology issues to help them do their jobs better.

This is a new, highly-visible editorial role that is key to growing this important part of the AccountingWEB business – we need a super-organised, tech-obsessed individual who is creative, collaborative and commercially-minded, and will use this opportunity to grow the website traffic and their career.

The content you create will be audience-facing, and designed to engage a professional community of accountants and business owners.

Writing experience is preferred ideally with experience of business, B2B, finance and/or accounting journalism. An interest and experience in accounting software, apps and platforms is preferred with an interest in future technology and fintech an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be self-motivated, highly organised and an excellent communicator. A professional attitude is a must, as is the ability to work collaboratively and forge strong relationships.

We are looking for writers to join our AccountingWEB.co.uk team on a freelance basis to cover the accounting software market for the UK’s leading accounting website. The content you create will be audience-facing, and designed to engage a professional community of accountants and business owners. You will be writing everything from news to reviews, plus features, explainers and other engaging editorial.

AccountingWEB is a B2B brand, and you will be experienced in creating content that works for commercial partners.

Writing experience is a must ideally with experience of business, B2B, finance and/or accounting journalism. An interest and experience in accounting software, apps and platforms is preferred with an interest in future technology and fintech an advantage.

You will be a keen writer with a track record in online content creation with experience and an interest in creating smart, practical content about accounting software and technology in general.

You will have an interest in all things digital media, communicating with and building audiences and communities through online activity, social media and/or relevant platforms.

You will be comfortable working closely with commercial and marketing teams, creating content that works for all stakeholders in a B2B publishing environment.

You will have experience in modern SEO best practice and content optimisation, with the ability to communicate this internally and externally.

You will have a passion for and deep understanding of social media, digital platforms and knowledge of key and emerging digital best practices that enable consumers to find and consume content online.

You will have experience of using modern Content Management Systems, some HTML plus any software relevant to multimedia content creation.
