Job Title: Digital Marketing Executive

Job Function: Marketing

Location: Bristol

The Digital Marketing Executive role is responsible for delivering effective marketing campaigns to drive engagement and results for internal brands and external clients.  

You will be part of the central marketing team, working alongside like-minded people in similar roles, and working closely with our content and client delivery teams to plan, execute and measure campaign activity. As our Digital Marketing Executive you’ll champion our audience data and insight agenda for campaigns; ensuring that we are effectively segmenting and targeting our audiences appropriately. Key metrics will be around engaging, converting and retaining audiences for campaign fulfillment.

You’ll need to come up with the most effective ways to reach the targeted audiences and then deliver best-in-class content marketing campaigns. You’ll be managing campaigns across email, social and SEO. You’ll be expected to ensure performance by ongoing testing and analysis of campaign performance, build, manage and track audiences for commercial deliverables.

Ideally you will have:

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar, demand generation role, B2B experience preferable
  • Experience with search marketing strategies involving SEM, SEO and website management
  • Proven and demonstrable campaign management experience including hands on experience on PPC and display campaigns
  • Experience with Email Marketing tools (Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor, Mail Chimp)
  • Experience with CRM management and marketing automation (Hubspot, Marketo)
  • Management of data for effective campaign delivery including segmentation and campaign reporting
  • Excellent verbal communication and copywriting skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Experience putting together campaign reports showing results as well as analysis
  • Solid experience with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Previous experience of working within a Publishing or Digital Media environment would be useful but not essential

We’re on the look out for a talented Tech Editor to join our AccountingWEB.co.uk team. This role will focus on owning the accounting software editorial strategy and output for the UK’s leading accounting website.

AccountingWEB.co.uk is the most timely, insightful and trusted source for UK accountants seeking concise answers on compliance, business and technology issues to help them do their jobs better.

This is a new, highly-visible editorial role that is key to growing this important part of the AccountingWEB business – we need a super-organised, tech-obsessed individual who is creative, collaborative and commercially-minded, and will use this opportunity to grow the website traffic and their career.

The content you create will be audience-facing, and designed to engage a professional community of accountants and business owners.

Writing experience is preferred ideally with experience of business, B2B, finance and/or accounting journalism. An interest and experience in accounting software, apps and platforms is preferred with an interest in future technology and fintech an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be self-motivated, highly organised and an excellent communicator. A professional attitude is a must, as is the ability to work collaboratively and forge strong relationships.

We are looking for writers to join our AccountingWEB.co.uk team on a freelance basis to cover the accounting software market for the UK’s leading accounting website. The content you create will be audience-facing, and designed to engage a professional community of accountants and business owners. You will be writing everything from news to reviews, plus features, explainers and other engaging editorial.

AccountingWEB is a B2B brand, and you will be experienced in creating content that works for commercial partners.

Writing experience is a must ideally with experience of business, B2B, finance and/or accounting journalism. An interest and experience in accounting software, apps and platforms is preferred with an interest in future technology and fintech an advantage.

You will be a keen writer with a track record in online content creation with experience and an interest in creating smart, practical content about accounting software and technology in general.

You will have an interest in all things digital media, communicating with and building audiences and communities through online activity, social media and/or relevant platforms.

You will be comfortable working closely with commercial and marketing teams, creating content that works for all stakeholders in a B2B publishing environment.

You will have experience in modern SEO best practice and content optimisation, with the ability to communicate this internally and externally.

You will have a passion for and deep understanding of social media, digital platforms and knowledge of key and emerging digital best practices that enable consumers to find and consume content online.

You will have experience of using modern Content Management Systems, some HTML plus any software relevant to multimedia content creation.
