We’re on the look out for a talented Head of Sales and Delivery to join our Business Division.

This is a multi-disciplined client and market-facing role to deliver  new business revenue, achieve good client rebook/retention and take new products to market.

The Head of Sales and Delivery will be responsible for developing and delivering the commercial strategy, including budgeting and forecasting to ensure key revenue and profit lines are delivered. With a strong focus on diversifying our revenue profile; you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our existing offering (events and content marketing) and maximising the potential of new products that the business will be rolling out in 2019.  

You’ll have a professional attitude, the ability to focus and perform well under pressure and a collaborative working style combined with a track record of delivering significant sales revenue with a focus on high value business and experience in development new areas of business.

You will be leading and driving the commercial and account management team in order to drive revenue growth and ensure the successful and profitable delivery of every client campaign. In addition to ensuring the team are challenged and supported to deliver their best possible performance, the Head of Sales and Delivery will have individual revenue targets to achieve so the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver results is essential. You will also work closely with the editorial and marketing team to ensure a collaborative and consultative sales approach; both with the team (internally) and with existing and potential clients (externally).

Sift is a highly regarded digital media and event business based in Bristol (with a small satellite office in the US).  We operate in the accounting and enterprise sectors, running a series of community based digital publications & events, including growing subscription services

Sift is now looking to appoint a further experienced non-executive director (NED) to join the board and bring in critical insight and guidance to accelerate our growth ambitions, specifically in the events sector.

Job Title: Commercial Manager (PracticeWEB)

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to come in, deliver results and take their career to the next level.

We provide expert marketing strategy, a range of content solutions and cutting-edge websites to more than 400 happy clients around the UK. Over the past 18 months we have been evolving our value proposition which is now ready to go back out to market. Early results are promising and we have a good cohort of clients using our new products who are available to use as case studies and testimonials.

We’re looking for a sales professional who can take hold of the work we have done so far and run with it. This is a new business focused role. To be considered, you will need to be super organised, driven, creative, collaborative, commercially-minded and confident speaking to prospects – on the phone, in meetings and at events.

You won’t be on your own, though. We’ll give you training on the product set and ongoing support as you grow. Your leads will be a healthy mix of self generated and inbound from a variety of sources including from the dedicated marketing team, our own website enquiry forms and from participating at events and tradeshows.

You’ll work alongside our account management team, who are allocated to our larger accounts, and you’ll be reporting in to the Head of Sales and Account Management.

The Commercial Manager must be comfortable pitching to senior stakeholders who are often business owners. You will have the opportunity depending on experience and career priorities to manage a proven Sales Executive on the team.

This is a highly-visible commercial role that is key to growing the business. We would expect you to have an interest in all things digital media, content marketing and current trends in websites and user experience. Relevant experience could be from agency, media, SaaS software sales  or potentially specialist recruitment background.
