For nearly two decades, the Accounting Excellence Awards have celebrated the best in the profession, recognising firms and individuals who push boundaries, embrace innovation, drive growth, and deliver outstanding client service.
Each year, we refine our categories and criteria based on feedback from entrants and judges, ensuring the awards remain relevant to an evolving profession. For 2025, we’ve made some exciting updates.
What’s new in 2025?
- New categories:
- Deal of the Year – highlighting the transformative impact of mergers and acquisitions in the accounting sector.
- Finance Team of the Year – recognising the vital role finance professionals play in driving business success.
- Entry cap: To ensure fairness and maintain high standards, firms can now submit a maximum of three entries. This will help focus submissions on the categories where firms truly shine, leading to a more competitive and high-quality field.
- More recognition: Each category will now have both a winner and a highly commended firm. Highly commended firms will be announced the night before the main awards, giving more recognition to those excelling in their field and amplifying their achievements.
Join us at the AE Masterclass at FAB
To help firms craft standout award entries, we’re hosting an Accounting Excellence Masterclass at the Festival of Accounting & Bookkeeping (FAB). This session will equip you with everything needed to create a compelling submission.
- Insights from past winners: Learn from those who’ve been there before and hear their success stories.
- Hands-on workshop: Get expert guidance on how to tell your firm’s story and structure your entry to grab the judges’ attention.
- Networking opportunities: Connect with previous winners, fellow entrants, and like-minded firms to share insights and experiences.
I’ll be hosting this session and look forward to seeing you there!
