The entries have been submitted, the judges have deliberated and the votes have been cast – and now the finalists in the most prestigious awards in the accounting profession are inching closer to walking the red carpet and lifting an Accounting Excellence Award.
The Accounting Excellence Awards in association with Intuit QuickBooks recognises accountants, finance leaders and teams, and bookkeepers, with categories celebrating excellence in client service, employers, ESG (environmental, social and governance) excellence, digital transformation and the always hotly contested gongs for small, mid-tier and large firms.
This year’s awards feature two new categories: the Deal of the Year – which highlights the lively activity we’ve seen recently in the mergers and acquisitions landscape – and the Finance Team of the Year.
The finalists will now have to wait until 30 September to hear if their name is pulled out of the golden envelope at the glitzy awards ceremony at the Roundhouse in London.
The Accounting Excellence Awards comes ahead of the Finance, Accounting and Bookkeeping Show (FAB) in March 2026, where many of the trends and innovations displayed by these finalists will be discussed across the content programme.
20 years of excellence
For over 20 years, the Accounting Excellence Awards have shone the spotlight on the most bleeding-edge and innovative firms in the profession.
“The Accounting Excellence Awards celebrates all the firms and individuals who are pushing the profession forward through adopting the latest technology to high-quality client care and redefining what excellence looks like,” said Joanne Birtwistle, AccountingWEB’s editorial director.
“The night of the Accounting Excellence Awards is shaping up to be a night to remember. However, the trends and innovations shared in these award entries will not remain under the disco ball at the Roundhouse – they will power the AccountingWEB newsroom and will come to life at the Finance, Accounting and Bookkeeping Show in March, where the decision-makers from these firms will be under one roof sharing the secrets of their success.”
So what firms will be duking it out this year?
